Nowy wymiar hydrotechniki

Modern design office specializing in the implementation of BIM methodology in hydraulic engineering

About HydroBIM

The HydroBIM design office specialises in hydrotechnical solutions for linear infrastructure — we model and design drainage, retention and environmental solutions based on digital hydraulic and hydrodynamic models.

We fill the technological and competence gap in hydrotechnology, where there is a shortage of engineers and even fewer BIM experts in this field.

A New Dimension of Hydrotechnology

HydroBIM was established out of a need to change the approach to hydrotechnical design. The vision of the company’s founder, Tomasz Rajpold, an enthusiast of BIM and digital design tools, was that HydroBIM would focus on BIM technology from the outset and be open to innovative working methods.

When Tomasz founded the company in 2019, there was no ‘climate’ for BIM in Poland. Regardless, HydroBIM has been using modern design methods from the very beginning, even though no one required BIM from us at the time. This investment is paying off today.

Our experience with BIM in hydrotechnology puts HydroBIM at the forefront of Polish design offices.

Expertise: BIM in Hydrotechnology

modelowanie hydrologiczne i hydrauliczne
  • Advanced hydraulic and hydrodynamic modelling, including the use of HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Scalgo and other software to assess flood risk and optimise design solutions.
  • Preparation of comprehensive documentation necessary to obtain water law permits in multi-disciplinary linear infrastructure projects.
  • Participation in Contract Engineer teams and investor supervision in the field of hydrotechnical solutions.
  • Environmentally friendly solutions – design of facilities such as fish passes and renaturation of watercourses.
